Dear Diary,
So I let almost seven months go past since writing I have to do better. So here I am! So much has happen since the New Year I got new job, my blog is going good, got some “ambassador-ships” ( yeah I made this word work), along with some new features. So I must say Life is going pretty good.
My summer was pretty busy had lost my Great Aunt Hazel it was pretty upsetting. She was amazing women. Long story short my aunt has a pretty serious stroke. Her nurse or guardian was essential not respecting my aunt and abusing her privileges. So my grandmother decided to rescue her sister in law and flew to San Francisco to bring her back her to Ohio. After that big move almost 2 years ago she was living here and till the day she died she always thank my grandmother and us for rescuing her. She was so sweet and Glamorous. We truly loved her. I am so happy we were able to help. So in June she did get really sick and ended up in hospices. She was there for several days before she had past. I am sitting here getting teary eyed. Though this is just a great example on how people come in and out of your life. But family is always going to be there at your best or at worst. But they will always be there so RIP Aunt Hazel.
After all of that I was able to quit my job at the Marriott which turn out pretty horrible. I was working insane hours and had some interesting coworkers. Sometimes I couldn’t even believe my schedule it would say 11pm-7am, than the on that same day I would sometimes have to come back in at 4pm, and not leave to 11pm. They would have me work all three shifts. I couldn't handle it any longer. The only thing that kept me sane were my coworkers Amy and Liz. OMG they were freaking awesome!! They definitely were filled with positive energy. They were honestly my breath of fresh air. Every now and then we go to the bar in the same lot called Pilot Inn. Cindy the bartender was amazing heavy pourer. I would always order a Jack and Coke my signature drink. Play a little something on the juke box. It was such a relaxed and much need tradition.
I think my final straw at the job was one of the last night I had work 3rd shift. Usually I would come to that shift so frustrated and upset. It really brought my whole vibe down. Though this night I should of known it was just going to be the night to really push my comfort zone in a work environment. It was around 1:30AM in the morning and I was completing some things on my check list the lobby was quiet it seem at the time all was calm. I headed back into the office to finish printing some reports for the audit and right when I was going to sit I heard the doors open. After rolling my eyes and taking a deep breath I head back to the front desk. I looked up and lord behold it was the owner of our hotel dressed in his best tux. I mean he was the owner of the whole neighborhood. He was real estate royalty.

After rolling my eyes and taking a deep breath I head back to the front desk. I looked up and lord behold it was the owner of our hotel dressed in his best tux. I mean he was the owner of the whole neighborhood. He was real estate royalty.
I definitely got my "A" game on and put all my charm and professionalism out on the table. "Hi Mr.________" I said. Before I could even finish he started talking and the smell of oversold alcohol came and almost knocked me out like Mike Tyson. I took a step back and had to make sure my facial expressions were in check. "I need a room tonight. My wife told me I couldn’t come home!" He had said as slurring every word barley keep balance. I hurried and check him in, while handing him the keys to his room I had noticed a blonde woman walking in behind him smiling and giggling. She defiantly caught his attention.
She wanted some beers, he offered a bottle of wine. She started a convo with him by this time I try to check out mentally. Till she had mentioned how she own the neighborhood and that’s when his liquor consummation was in full effect. "I own _______" he said. "Tell her Ashli. Tell her who I Am." he slurred as slipping $20 on the desk. For everyone’s time I went along with his ego and had defiantly elaborated way too much about how important he was. He invited her to the patio told her about the fire pit outside she agreed, he asked for a blanket and a bottle of white wine. Than the two disappeared.
Now since I was the only one staffed at this time of night (the other reason I hated 3rd shift) I had to call Amy, she worked in the Bistro, and I needed to figure out which keys went to which cabinet so I could find the wine. She was cracking up as I explain how my night was going. Finally after hanging up the phone with her and I had grabbed everything and headed for patio. I look on the table there was about 5 beer bottles and now I am delivering a whole bottle of wine. They both were sloppy and very drunk. Barley forming a sentence. I smiled and made sure they didn’t need anything else. Before I could get away he had slipped another $40 bucks.
Long story short they sat out there for at least hour and half. About every 20 mins I would heels walking back and forth to the bathroom. I looked up at the time it was now 3:00am and I didn't hear the heels walking in the lobby anymore. I decided to go back in front to make sure the lobby was cleared. I headed to the patio it was a complete mess. I think there was even some broken bottles. But MR. ______ had disappeared. I spent about 15 mins cleaning up after a grown man. I finally was able to get back to work.
I sat down took a deep breath trying to complete the audit and lord beholds there was MR._____ barley standing hanging on to the front desk for dear life. I mean lord have mercy.
I asked him on three different occasions if he wanted to go up to his room and each time he would tell me no. By this time we are now reaching 3:50am. I asked if he wanted a taxi as he fell on the couch barley able to keep his head up. He said sure. I called a taxi it didn’t arrive till 4:15am. By this time I had to help him off the couch and escort his ASS to the taxi.
But Oh NO he didn’t want to go. He sat in the taxi refusing to give his address. Claiming his car was on the way to pick him up. By this time the Taxi Driver was just as annoyed as I was. But Again I had to smile and tell MR.________ that he needed to go upstairs to his room. He agreed and walked straight to the couch in the front lobby and sat. By this time I couldn’t even understand what he was talking about he would doze off after every three words. Though this time I think I had finally convinced him to go upstairs. I asked if he needed help and of course he told me no. But he did tip me again a $20, couple $5's, and several $1’s.
I went back to the front desk trying to get this audit work done. Then I heard the elevators bells ding. In my head I was like "thank you" he had finally left. But no that wasn’t the case it was just a guest checking out at 4:45am. (Rolls eyes) I was pleasant of course and was able to check him out. He sat on the couch and waited for his taxi. As he sat there he looked a little distraught. Then he finally came up and said "some drunk walking down the hallway" "I am not sure where he heading but he bumped into me." I apologized and told him I would check on him. I had set my audit pack on the desk.
WARNING nothing could had prepared me for what I would see next.
I started to walk towards the elevators which were around the corner and saw him leaning on the elevator door with his head resting on his one arm....but what threw me all the way to the left was his other arm was helping him PISS ALL OVER the elevator doors. That when I said was done. I couldn’t believe I just witness a Grown Man piss on himself. I am not one to get upset easily but this pushed my limits. I hurried and walked back to the front desk acting like i didn’t see anything. Here he came barley walking I met him before he reached the desk. I firmly told him we were going upstairs.
I had to walk him literally to his room. He said "What did I tell you? You don’t know who I am....right?" I smiled and all could say yes. I closed the door to his room and walked back to the lobby I had told myself never again. I called my supervisor told her the whole ordeal. Since I was the night auditor I was the only one there so again I was cleaning up after him. No I take that back I was cleaning up after a GROWN MAN! Wait no I was cleaning up a GROWN MAN PISS! Yeah there we go that what I had to do. SO here I am with a damn mop and bucket cleaning this Piss up.
Though the only good thing was i did make 118 bucks in tips so yeah my phone bill got paid.
So yeah that was my experience with that. I will continue this next week. I will try to write here at least twice a week. Until next time
XOXO
